The Takefu International Music Festival is celebrating it's 18th year of success. The venues have included not
only the Echizen-shi Bunka Center, but places all across the city such
as neighboring Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, restaurants, local schools and other interesting locations. These
performances have helped to develop warm friendships among the international artists and the citizens of Echizen City
and the surrounding areas. We would like to invite you to sit back, relax and exciting
days of wonderful music and lively performances.

We believe that it is important to be concerned about the world we live in and to try to protect and prolong our country's natural resources before they disappear.
There are many ways in which people can go about realizing this dream.
We have chosen the path of music, an international ice-breaker to help us along the way.
Music helps us to relax and to dream; dream about the way we would like things to be.
With these dreams in mind we think that it is possible to act on them and make them realities.
Relaxation gives us the time needed to contemplate our ideas and goals.
By bringing international musicians together to share their dreams with us,
we are certain that the combined energy that is produced will allow us to express our dreams in a much grander fashion than we would do in everyday life.
