What are the system requirements for Dokochan Board?

Server Side

  • Hardware: PC with Pentium or higher CPU
  • Memory: 64 MB or more
  • Hard disk: 10 MB or more free disk space
  • OS: WindowsNT 4.0 or higher, Windows95/98 is also avaialble for a small group use
  • Others: Access Driver, Microsoft IIS or PWS

Client Side

  • Hardware: PC connected to networks using TCP/IP
  • Others: WWW browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape Communicator 4.6 or higher)

Is it possible to manage whereabouts of 100 to 1,000 people?

Many of our members are often out of the office. Can they change their status or read messages when they are out?

Next version is expected to have functions to change your status and check messages to yourself using E-Mail.

Why is my "Dokochan Board" display different from others?

Each PC has different settings for display resolution and font size. Right-click your mouse on the desktop and drop down to "Settings" via "Property" and check your display resolution and number of colors. We recommend 1024x768 resloution, "Small" font size and at least 256 colors (64K or more recommended).

Difference of the browsers, Interenet Explorer or Netscape Communicator, may cause some display difference. "Font size" set in the browser also causes the difference of display. ("Small" is recommended if the resolution is 1024x768).
Dokochan Board is developed on Internet Exploer basis.

Can I e-mail from "Dokochan Board"?

Yes, you can e-mail from Dokochan Board as a part of your browser function.

Conditions:

  1. Preset of E-mail address at the time of member registration in "Dokochan Board"
  2. Complted E-Mail settings of your browser.
    Refer to help or manual of your browser for browser E-Mail settings.
  3. If above settings are completed, you can go to the E-Mail screen automatically by selecting the member from Group Whereabouts Bulletin Board and clicking his/her E-Mail address.

I often forget to check messages. Any good solutions?

A new function to notify the unread messages by a popup window is introduced to ver.1.5
