Operation of Shinkiba FAN
In 1996, NEC Soft began providing "Shinkiba FAN", a web site for facilities located near the Company's head office building such as Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome, Tokyo Tatsumi International Swimming Pool, Tatsumi Forest Green Road Park, and Shinkiba Gallery. The Company gave the website contents to Tatsumi International Swimming Pool at no charge when it established a section for the website administration.
Practical social experience training
NEC Soft organizes the "practical social experience training" program several times a year at the request of schools and local junior chambers located in the vicinity of the Company's offices. This program includes company tours, hands-on PC experience, and question and answer sessions concerning work; to help deepen young people's understanding of life at the Company and the information technology services industry.
Cooperation with traffic safety campaigns
As a proactive measure to prevent traffic accidents, NEC Soft, in association with the Tokyo Shinkiba Lumber Commerce and Industry Cooperative Association, is engaged in "traffic safety campaign." The Company participates in the campaign activities at the intersection in front of the Company's headquarters building every spring and fall.
NEC Kids Internet Safety School
In 2000, NEC Soft, together with Guardian Angels Japan and NEC, launched an on-line safety program called "NEC Kids Internet Safety School" for 3rd, to 6th graders and their parents. In this program, participants learn rules and manners in the cyber space through hands-on experiences using pseudo mails, chat rooms, and bulletin boards.
